We are absolutely over the moon to share that The Farmhouse at Redcoats has been named Best Barn Wedding Venue in the East of England at The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) 2026. It still doesn’t quite feel real… but what a moment for our little corner of Hertfordshire!
This award shines a light on our venue which has evolved over recent years. What began as a much-loved 2 Rosette restaurant known for great food and countryside escapes expanded in 2018 to include a dedicated wedding barn "The Barns at Redcoats" across the courtyard. Just 30 minutes from London, The Barns now attracts people from all over the UK while staying firmly rooted in its local community. From our commitment to sourcing ingredients from nearby farms, to employing local talent and investing in sustainable, no-dig growing methods, everything about our wedding venue reflects a love for its Hertfordshire home.
What makes this award so meaningful is the combination of two things that matter deeply to us. The heartfelt feedback from our couples who celebrated with us… and the thoughtful, professional scores from the respected TWIA judging panel. Knowing that both our couples and the industry experts recognise what we do makes this win incredibly special.
For anyone who knows us, you’ll know that weddings at The Barns aren’t just occasions on a calendar. They are personal. They are heartfelt. We are a food led wedding venue
Our barn weddings are created with food lovers in mind and our couples adore that. Menus celebrate the seasons and showcases produce from trusted local farms who share our commitment to quality, provenance and sustainability. When possible, we use homegrown ingredients from our own no dig kitchen garden. Our chefs genuinely care about the food on your plate, your experience and want your guests to be talking about the food long after the last dance.
Everything in one place
The Barns offers it all. The lovingly renovated Grade II listed Barn, the Cowshed Bar, our outside Grain Store ceremony area, lawns, beautiful gardens and views across the Hertfordshire countryside. Behind the scenes, our no dig garden continues to grow, helping us bring more homegrown produce from garden to plate.
One of our biggest USPs is our 26 on site bedrooms. Couples tell us this is a game changer. Nobody needs to travel between venues or worry about taxis… everyone can stay together and wake up to a proper Farmhouse breakfast the next morning. From the Honeymoon Suite, to the Getting Ready Room available the night before, to the stylish barn bedrooms and the characterful rooms across the courtyard at the Farmhouse, it is the perfect way to make the celebrations last that little bit longer.
