Since opening, The Barns at Redcoats has prioritised eco-friendly practices to minimise our environmental footprint - a journey that we continuously review and improve. We are proud to source ingredients locally from farmers, supporting our community and reducing carbon emissions. As members of The Sustainable Restaurant Association, we are recognised for our environmental initiatives and strive for continual improvement.
Our recent addition of a no-dig garden provides seasonal fruits and vegetables, reducing food miles and showcasing our commitment to organic cultivation and waste reduction. We enrich our soil with homemade, organic compost from our green waste.
Beyond the kitchen, we use 100% natural Bramley products in our guest rooms. Our wild meadow garden enhances local biodiversity, supported by beehives and an insect hotel, reflecting our dedication to fostering a thriving ecosystem and sustainable hospitality at The Barns at Redcoats.
